RC Squared Designs is led by a 6th-generation builder, with family roots in construction dating back to the 1800s in Italy. Building is not a recent career pivot for us—it’s a long-standing family trade that has evolved from traditional craft into modern project management.

Construction has been part of our family for generations. That experience gives us a perspective most teams only gain after years on the job. From planning to design to managing every detail on site, we know what it takes to keep a project running smoothly — and we do it with care, foresight, and respect for our clients’ homes.

Meet Renato Cancelli

You work directly with me throughout the entire journey. I am personally responsible for ensuring accuracy in estimating, strategy, and scheduling. I stay involved through our milestone conversations and continue guiding you until construction is complete.

Why RC Squared Designs Exists

RC Squared Designs is owned and led by Renato Cancelli, a construction professional with a unique blend of family heritage, formal training, and personal discipline.

Renato grew up around construction and real estate development, learning first-hand how projects are planned, financed, and built. Over time, he expanded that experience into consulting roles, helping builders and homeowners understand the true scope and cost of their projects.

Outside of construction, Renato is a 3rd degree Taekwon-do black belt who has represented Canada at the national level, winning first place at the Canadian National Championships. The same focus, discipline, and commitment required on the mat is what he brings to every project RCSQ manages.

RCSQ was founded in 2022 after countless conversations with homeowners who felt let down by the traditional design-and-build process. Too often, they were sold beautiful designs that didn’t match their budget—and were left with drawings they simply couldn’t afford to build.

Renato saw a clear need for a different kind of partner: one that would design and manage projects with budget and constructability in mind from day one. RC Squared Designs exists to give homeowners the tructured, honest, and proactive project management they often don’t know is possible—but absolutely is.
